Problems During Auto Setup

Modem does not dial registration server

The appropriate modem is not selected under Auto Setup Serial Dial Up Settings.
Modem does successfully connect to registration server or disconnects prematurely.

  • The modem's maximum connection speed may be set too high.  Lowering the modem's maximum connection speed may assist in connecting to the registration server.
  • The modem's maximum connection speed may be set too low (e.g. below 2400 bps).  Increasing the modem's maximum connection speed may assist in connecting to the registration server.
  • The modem may not support error correction.  This can be verified by going to Modem Properties -> Connection -> Advanced and seeing if the _blank_ checkbox is enabled.  [Note: The "Standard Modem" driver provided by Windows does not support error correction.]

This error code indicates that the registration server was unable to verify the authenticity of your adapter.   Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error code indicates that the registration server timed out while attempting to verify the authenticity of you adapter.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error code indicates there is a problem with the installation or software.  Verify that your software is the latest DirecPC version and re-install.

This error code indicates that you have selected an invalid ISP.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that no IP addresses are available for assignment for the chosen service plan.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server encountered a problem while assigning your adapter to a satellite transponder for the service plan you have chosen.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that there was an internal error in the registration server.   Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server was unable to create a "site id" for your adapter.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server is not able to enable your specific adapter.   Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that your site has attempted to subscribe to a community that is not subscribe able.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server was unable to get encryption key data for your adapter.  Try re-running Auto Setup again.  f the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the encryption server was unable to authenticate your adapter.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server timed out waiting for a response from the encryption server.  Try re-running Auto Setup again.  If the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server was unable to communicate with the encryption server.  Try re-running Auto Setup again.  If the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server encountered a problem while swapping your adapter in its database.  This error should only occur if you are replacing an existing adapter.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the encryption key for your adapter was not found in the encryption server.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the supplied Customer Care Number (CCN) is already been used by another site.  Please contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.

This error indicates that the registration server was unable to authenticate your adapter due to an internal error.  Try re-running Auto Setup again.  If the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center for further assistance.
