Authentication Issues
Why
do I get an "Authentication Failure" when I try to
connect to the Internet?
When
you establish a Turbo Internet connection, your user name and
password at the ISP's server to validate your account. If
your user name or password is incorrect, an authentication failure
will occur. Verify on the Protocol
tab of the Turbo Internet Property page that your PPP user
name and password are correct.
Note:
If you chose a DirecPC service plan that included a bundled ISP
account, your PPP login user name will be prefixed by HLC/DPC/. For
example, if you chose a bundled ISP service plan and selected
dpcuser as your user name, then your PPP login user name would be
HLC/DPC/dpcuser
