Internet - Scripting Properties
The
Scripting property page displays a simple two-column setup for
creating a SLIP/PPP login script. Your ISP will provide
you with the script to enter in the following steps. Be
sure to have this script handy when you perform this procedure.
Creating
a Login Script
- In the
first Wait For: box, type in the text string that will
prompt the response from the first Send: box. For
example, a typical login script to access a SLIP provider
could resemble the following:
Login:
jdoe
Password:
abc123
- In this
example, you would type Login: into the first Wait for: box.
This means the system will wait for the text string
Login: to appear before continuing.
- In the
first Send: box, type the Login: response
- in this example, John Doe. Following the
script, then, when the first Wait for: text string is
received, the system will send back the response contained in
the first Send: box.
- Type the
next expected text string (Password: in this example)
into the second Wait for: box.
- In the
second Send: box, type the password.
