LOOSENING THE NUTS AND BOLTS

  • Locate and loosen the polarization nuts, azimuth clamp nuts, elevation pivot bolt and elevation nuts on the AZ/EL Cap Mount Assembly so that the antenna can be moved vertically, horizontally and clockwise/counterclockwise with slight pressure.

 

SETTING THE POLARIZATION

  • Using the polarization value you recorded in section E, rotate the antenna reflector until that polarization value on the polarization scale is aligned with the polarization reference mark (see diagram below). Tighten the polarization nuts.

Important - there are two polarization scales on the antenna, positive and negative. Be sure that you use the positive scale for a positive value and use the negative scale for a negative value.
