  1. You can visit this site and find out about our products and services, read our Corporate info, or get a news update and other value-added services without giving us any information about yourself.

  2. If you do provide personal information, such as address, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers, as well as demographic and customer identification, we will not disclose (share, sell or divulge) it to external organizations unless we have informed you, been authorized by you, or are required to do so by law. We will maintain this information, as well as your business activities and transactions, according to our usual strict security and confidentiality standards.

In order to provide better service or to address security hazards, we will occasionally use a "cookie." A cookie is a small piece of information which a Web site stores on your Web browser on your PC and can later retrieve. The cookie cannot be read by a Web site other than the one that set the cookie. Cookies facilitate certain features that can make the surfing experience more convenient and valuable for Web users.

A "cookie" is a small piece of information which a web server can store on your web browser. Often cookies are used so that you do not have to identify yourself every time you re-enter the site.

Site Personalization

Cookies allow users to indicate what types of information they are interested in receiving when they visit a particular site. Users can then view only what they are interested in and not waste time with news or information of no interest to them

Web Site Tracking

Tracking allows Orbit Communications to find out what pages visitors link to, and interpret or infer what is interesting to them. This helps us keep our content fresh and relevant.

Targeted Marketing

Cookies can be used to build a profile of where on a particular site you visit. This information is then used to target advertising that might be of interest to you. Orbit Communications uses cookies to "remember" which advertisements were sent to you, so that you do not see the same ones again.

Security

While information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide superior service, our most important asset is our customers' trust. Keeping customer information secure, and using it only as our customers would want us to, is a top priority for all of us at Orbit Communications. Here then, is our promise to our individual customers, which we will implement throughout 1999:

  1. We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our customers share with us.

  2. We will limit the collection and use of customer information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service to our customers, which includes advising our customers about our products, services and other opportunities, and to administer our business.

  3. We will permit only authorized employees, who are trained in the proper handling of customer information, to have access to that information. Employees who violate our Privacy Promise will be subject to our normal disciplinary process.

  4. We will not reveal customer information to any external organization unless we have previously informed the customer in disclosures or agreements, have been authorized by the customer, or are required by law.

  5. We will always maintain control over the confidentiality of our customer information. We may, however, facilitate relevant offers from reputable companies. These companies are not permitted to retain any customer information unless the customer has specifically expressed interest in their products or services.

  6. We will tell customers in plain language initially, and at least once annually, how they may remove their names from marketing lists. At any time, customers can contact us to remove their names from such lists.

  7. Whenever we hire other organizations to provide support services, we will require them to conform to our privacy standards and to allow us to audit them for compliance.

  8. We will attempt to keep customer files complete, up-to-date, and accurate. We will tell our customers how and where to conveniently access their account information (except when we're prohibited by law) and how to notify us about errors which we will promptly correct.

We will continuously assess ourselves to ensure that customer privacy is respected. We will conduct our business in a manner that fulfills our Promise in the many states in which we do business.
