DIRECTV Equipment Pricing and Sales Policies
We sell DIRECTV systems
at a price that is substantially below our cost and rely on a dealer rebate program that
is in place " if certain conditions are met". In order to purchase one of these
systems at the listed prices, YOU MUST agree to the following conditions.
Please read carefully.
- By purchasing a new DIRECTV Satellite system
you indicate your express agreement to the following terms and conditions for
the goods and services that you are ordering.
- You agree and assent that neither you nor your residence is
currently a DIRECTV subscriber, nor have you ever been a DIRECTV subscriber and are at
least 18 years of age.
- Upon receipt of your equipment you agree to call Orbit for
assignment of your DIRECTV Account Number. You MUST activate your system or receiver(s)
within 30 days of receipt with a minimum of Select Choice
programming package or greater. Also you MUST use the system as your primary system.
Should you decide to add additional receivers and purchase it from another retailer (not
recommended), you must install and activate the system purchased from Orbit purchase prior
to purchasing second receiver. You will be charged an additional $300.00 by Orbit if you
fail to follow the above procedure. You can only purchase or add a second unit after your
primary system is completely installed and activated.
- If you are an existing DIRECTV customer, purchasing an
additional at the standalone receiver advertised prices it must be activated within 30
days of receipt. DO NOT
Transfer Access Cards from Old receivers to the new ones. This will result in $125.00
Charge Back by Orbit. Make sure you activate the new supplied access card. If you are
adding the receiver to your existing account it can be activated with the programming
package that you already have at an additional DIRECTV charge of $4.99 per month.
- You agree that this system is not for a commercial location
such as a Office, School, Hospital, Bar or Restaurant. If you need a system for a commercial location call Orbit
Communication at 1-800-576-7248 to see how you can qualify for a FREE*
system..
- You will be assessed a non activation fee of
$300.00 if
you fail to activate your DIRECTV System with Select Choice ($19.99 or greater) subscription
within 30 days of your purchase. You authorize Orbit
Communication Corp. or its successors, assignees or agent to bill your credit card used in
this transaction for the non activation fee.
- If for some unlikely reason you are not completely satisfied
with your DIRECTV System, you may return the unopened system prepaid for a refund
within 30 days of shipment. DIRECTV service fees, if applicable, are not refundable.
Returned systems must include all original components, literature and packaging in the
same salable condition you received it in. Thirty (30) days after the shipment date, the
purchase price of systems non-refundable. For instructions on returning merchandise, you
must call 1-800-576-7248 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Merchandise
s not subject to a 20% restocking
fee on the all products on invoice.
Damaged merchandise, cosmetically or otherwise, is subject to a restocking fee on a
case-by-case basis (please call for details). Returned DIRECTV receivers will incur a
$50.00 access card replacement fee if they have been activated. Note that it IS NOT
necessary to activate a DIRECTV access card to determine DIRECTV signal strength. Any
merchandise received without an authorization number will be returned to the sender.
- If you do not qualify or fulfill your obligation to subscribe
to one of the DIRECTV qualifying packages, you agree to pay a
charge back fee of $300.00 (U.S. funds). This charge back will be billed to your credit
card. For instructions on returning your DIRECTV system, you must call Orbit
Communications at 1-800-576-7248 for a return authorization number.
